So here is what I have so far of my tile.  I haven’t finished it yet as you can see, however, I think I’m very close.



My biggest issue has been writing out and defining the math that controls all of the geometry of my tile.  A lot of what I did when constructing my tile was a little more reactive, sort of coming up with geometry by referencing other parts of my tile, or approximating angles (stupid).  What I am having to do now, and what is slowing me down, is define the geometries of my tile as mathematical functions whose only numerical reference is the constant 2″ side of my hexagon and the distance a point moves along one of its sides.  It is difficult, but like I said I think I’m almost there.  I just need to figure out how to make Grasshopper draw vectors off at the angles I’m calculating.
